2014 Buick LaCrosse Attracts Major Attention
The new 2014 Buick LaCrosse has been given a new look, and an ample list of new innovations that has been attracting attention. With upgraded safety systems, and a classification of “mild hybrid” the LaCrosse definitely has a new upgraded presence.
The new 2014 LaCrosse base model is powered by a 2.4 liter, four cylinder engine. A new innovation is the 11-kilowatt electric engine that supplements the power produced by a traditional gasoline engine that Buick has added. When the gasoline engine is working in conjunction with the electric motor the combination can produce up to 182 horsepower. This new innovation combined with aerodynamic improvements have given the 2.4 liter engine a boost to record 25 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. Those looking for more power have the option of upgrading to the 3.6 liter, six cylinder engine with 303 horsepower.
Other upgrades like lane departure warning and forward collision systems have been added ensuring drivers are kept alert and safe by preventing accidents before they happen. Technology that works by measuring distances between obstacles ahead of the driver and alerting the driver with a warning. Innovations like these have made the new Buick LaCrosse safe, and a state of the art mid-sized sedan.
