2017 Buick Encore is Versatile
The Buick Encore was GM’s first entry in the subcompact SUV segment here in the U.S, debuting in 2013. In Europe, the small truck was known by its German name – Opel Mokka under Vauxhall.
What set it apart from its siblings was the size of the Encore’s engine. Weighing in at 1.4 liters, the compact SUV’s power train was the smallest out of every other automobile under the same nameplate – it even outdid its competition in terms of length, width and height.
The 2017 Encore quickly became GM’s best-selling automobile American vehicle striking a cord with younger buyers because of price, fuel-efficiency and driveability. Its smaller size also makes it easier to fit in tight spots, while offering excellent space and utility. Safety features also make the Encore attractive to small families as well as its performance and technology.
What has made the Encore even more attractive to buyers is that the compact SUV offers small size, luxury amenities and superior versatility all for under $30,000.
And the because of its established popularity the Buick Encore continues to be a crowd-pleaser even amongst a sea of viable competitors.
This year’s model reflects Buck’s commitment to stay one step ahead of the game by presenting a more streamlined design that includes a newly sculpted front fascia, winged grille, Buick tri-color insignia, redesigned headlamps, tail lamps, hood and front fenders, along with LED signature lighting and chrome exhaust tips.
The subcompact SUV’s interior has also seen some changes on the interior for 2017 with premium materials that include contrast stitching, a chrome driver instrument panel with a passive entry and push button ignition, 7-speaker Bose sound system, heated leather appointed front seats, inside rearview manual day/night mirror, Buick IntelliLink®1 Radio with Navigation2 with frameless 8″ diagonal Color Touch Screen and Navigation2, OnStar 4G LTE includes a Wi-Fi hotspot – accommodating up to seven connected devices, inside rear view auto-dimming mirror and 6-way power driver seat adjuster.
As far as performance is concerned, the new Encore will retain its 1.4 liter turbo four-cylinder engine capable of with 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque – married to a six-speed automatic transmission.
