The 2017 Cadillac XT5 Crossover is Here
Starting at a little under $40,000, the 2017 XT5 is a sleek and versatile machine that is as progressive inside as it is outside. The crossover’s long lines and striking chrome details give it an elegant but sporty curb appeal. The 2017 model sits on 20-inch wheels crafted via the full-forming process for strength and durability and features both a hands-free liftgate for easy storage and an innovative lighting system with LED headlamps that corner with the car, making sure you always have an illuminated path.
Under the hood, an industry leading redesigned 3.6-liter V6 pumps out 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque for up to 3,500 pounds of towing capability. The five-passenger XT5 is available in four trim levels and a variety of packages with your choice of either front- or all-wheel-drive.
Once inside, the award-winning interior welcomes both drivers and passengers alike with class-leading legroom, intelligent and generously apportioned cargo space, supple leather seating, an adjustable rear sliding seat, real wood accents and an UltraView Sunroof equipped with a power sunshade.
The XT5 features all of the technology you would expect from a luxury crossover, from the integrated Cadillac CUE interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to Surround Vision that reduces blind spots, Electronic Precision Shift for a sportier driving experience and an available rear camera mirror that streams the view from the rear-mounted camera into the rearview mirror with just a touch. An Active Fuel Management System with Stop/Start Technology optimizes fuel use while still delivering the power you need.
The 2017 XT5 is a 2016 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ when equipped with Front Automatic Braking, but the crossover provides an entire array of advanced safety systems geared towards making sure drivers are as taken care of as they are comfortable. Available Heads Up Display (HUD) projects information in color onto the windshield, meaning drivers don’t have to break their focus to glance down at the speedometer. Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning allows the XT5 to sense lane boundaries and help keep your vehicle centered, sending a warning pulse through the Safety Alert Seat cushion to let you know if you start drifting out of bounds. Other available features include the Side Blind Zone Alert and Pedestrian Collision Mitigation technology that can employ automatic braking to avoid collisions with pedestrians.
