2018 Cadillac ATS is More Luxurious Than Ever

2018 Cadillac ATS

If you’re a fan of luxury vehicles, the Cadillac ATS name isn’t new to you. There are several very good reasons why the ATS is synonymous with practical perfection and contemporary coolness, and nowhere is that more evident than inside the new 2018 Cadillac ATS.

Designed to compete with the best vehicles in the compact sport luxury vehicle segment, the ATS puts the BMW 3/4 series, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Audi A4/A5 to shame. This year–the ATS’s sixth year on the market–the best-in-class vehicle is finally getting the upgrade fans have been clamoring for.

First, Cadillac opted to refresh the ATS’s iconic styling to keep up with contemporary design trends. The 2018 Cadillac ATS will use LED lamps for daytime lights with xenon lights installed directly above them, giving the new vehicle better visibility than any Cadillac that came before it. But the features we’re most excited about are the additions that have vastly improved the ATS’s aerodynamics. Re-shaped body panels and rounder lines on both the front and rear fascia give the new ATS better air-flow and slightly better acceleration abilities.

The exterior upgrades are helped along by the upgrades under the hood. The 2018 Cadillac ATS Premium Luxury and Premium Performance models feature a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that puts out some absolutely incredible performance numbers. The V-6 (paired to an 8-pace automatic transmission) will get you up to 350 horsepower with over 320 lb-ft of torque. Most notably, the vehicle is about to go from zero to 60 in just 4 seconds. With a maximum speed of 150 mph, the ATS will get you where you want to be fast.

Of course, you can always opt for the standard model with a 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine that puts out 272 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque if you want something with a little less zest.

Inside, the 2018 ATS lives up to its reputation for luxury with a cabin filled with sumptuous, soft textiles and gorgeous detailing. Plus, all trim levels will come with an 8.0-inch touchscreen equipped with the Cadillac User Experience (CUE) Infotainment and Media Control system. Featuring a redesigned user interface and new features like driver profiles, an all-new turn-by-turn navigation app, and a summary screen, this handy device will keep you on-track and worry-free. You can even use it combined with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to stream your favorite music and make hands-free phone calls.

All ATS vehicles come with a range of safety features, including automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alerts and more.
