A Sneak Peak at the New GMC and Buick Lineup
GM, the parent company of Buick and GMC, has told the media that they will be showcasing four new GMC trucks and two new Buick sedans over the course of the next year. Here’s a sneak peak of what’s coming:
- Buick Lacrosse: The 2014 LaCrosse will be a third-generation model that will encompass GM’s front-wheel-drive Epsilon architecture. There will be similarities between this model and the Cadillac XTS, with a modern and high-quality interior.
- Buick Regal: The new Regal has been overhauled. Fans of this Buick should look for a shuffled powertrain lineup to match the rest of the fleet. Other changes are expected in turbo, which may hit around 250 hp.
- GMC Sierra, Yukon and Canyon: North American president of GM, Mark Reuss, promised in January that these trucks and SUVs will be more distinct. The Yukon is expected to have an upgraded interior and functionality. The new Canyon will be a mid-size pickup expected to target fuel-conscious truck buyers. GM is looking to design lightweight trucks instead of lightening the load of the Sierra.
