Buick Cascada to Shed Top Next Year

2016 is going to be the year to soak up the sun and go topless, especially if you’re driving the new Buick Cascada convertible. The first convertible to grace the Buick lineup in 25 years is stunning.

The sporty new Buick Cascada is not only the first convertible in over two decades to take its place in the Buick lineup, but it is also the first coupe since the Riviera was put out of production back in 1999. It’s become quite apparent the Buick brand has been undergoing recent changes including a completely new and modern advertising campaign and the refreshing of many of their top selling vehicles. The reveal of the Cascada is the next step for Buick to offer today’s consumer a modern, stylish, and luxurious vehicle. The two door coupe will draw huge appeal from buyers looking for a convertible, but who don’t necessarily possess the funds to sink into the pricier General Motors Corvette convertible. The Cascada is expected to fill a hole in the luxury market going up against the Audi A3, BMW 2 Series, and the Lexus IS C. Pricing for the Cascada has not yet been released but it’s widely assumed the price will come in at a competitive number underneath the current asking for its competitors.

Buick recently released the 2016 order guide for the Cascada divulging a number of impressive features for consumers to dream of. The new coupe will feature perforated leather bucket seats and Buick’s Intellilink system complete with a 7-inch touchscreen monitor that will come standard. The Cascada will also showcase 20-inch aluminum wheels, LED taillights and HID headlights with LED daytime running lights as well. Under the hood the coupe is sure to wow with a turbocharged engine and HiPer strut front suspension designed to reduce torque steer.
