Matteson Buick Dealership

The 2017 Buick Avenir represents the American automaker’s promise to “stay at the forefront in design, quality and customer experience.”

But it doesn’t end there.  Instead of debuting the production version of a single crossover model, Buick decided that the Avenir would launch a whole new sub-brand under the designation. The Avenir badge will represent the top-tier luxury vehicles in its line-up.

‘Avenir’ means future in French. And according to the automaker, it also signifies the direction that Buick wants to travel. And with the Enclave being the first of its models to receive the red carpet treatment, Arnie Bauer has a pretty good idea what to expect from the American brand.

In the spirit of displaying the “highest expression of Buick luxury” the car maker has added a brand-first in-vehicle ionization, upgraded leather and chrome accents and active safety features.

The 2018 Buick Enclave is the embodiment of the new Avenir line and a “game changer” for the brand.  Sharing the chassis architecture of the Chevy Traverse, the vehicle’s new sculpted athletic exterior was designed to complement the Enclave’s front end and grille.  A sleeker, slimmer body shows off a lower roofline, sharper windshield and longer wheelbase.

Exterior amenities include Evonik Acrylite technology and bi-functional LED headlamps and LED tail lamps, chrome-lined doors, protruding arches, integrated spoiler, dual exhaust, and 18-inch standard and optional 20-inch six-spoke wheels with pearl nickel finish.

Some of this crossover’s in-technology features improved connectivity, ultrasonic sensors, a 17 radar, 360 degree surround vision camera system, rear camera, an 8-inch diagonal infotainment system that includes Teen Drive, Rear Seat Reminder, Apply CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

It also comes equipped with an OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and the myBuick app and OnStar Smart Driver which improves vehicle performance and enhances fuel efficiency.

Inside, the 2018 Enclave offers premium, well-appointed materials – boasting Avenir chestnut and Ebony hues, along with contrasting stitching, embroidered first-row headrests, a wood-embellished steering wheel, Avenir floor mats and Avenir scripted sill plates in each door.

Buick new CUV sets the bar for cabin quietness. It was designed to block out noise through the use of special interior materials, sound-deadening acoustics, Quiet Tuning and other active-noise cancellation enhancements, in addition to exterior vehicle design.

Buck has also upped the ante in terms of the Enclave’s power by giving it a 3.6 liter V-6 engine capable of 302 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, a nine-speed 9T65 automatic transmission increasing its overall towing capacity to 5,000 pounds, and an optional intelligent AWD system with active twin-clutch rear differential and Buick-first switchable AWD.

Look for the 2018 Buck Enclave to arrive at your local Matteson Buick dealer this fall.
