Buick’s Highly Anticipated Flagship Sedan is a Concept
Rumors have recently been circulating regarding the possibility of an upcoming full-size Cadillac flagship sedan. Whispers have been swarming since the brand debuted the Elmiraj and Ciel concepts during the trademarking process for their LTS.
It’s anticipated that the flagship Cadillac LTS will arrive in 2015, and a Buick flagship would be soon to follow.
Revealed recently was the possible direction for a flagship model for Buick as well. In a recent interview GM’s Mark Ruess described the upcoming car as “a much more beautiful (Porsche) Panamera”. Ruess also revealed information regarding plans for a medium sized pickup, and a next generation Cruze hatchback. This luxurious comparison has definitely peaked consumers’ interests.
If the full-size sedan is put into production, and delivered to showrooms, it still remains uncertain if it will utilize the same Omega vehicle structure. The Omega structure is the base of Cadillac’s upcoming Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 rival, which is believed to be called LTS.
It’s a safe bet to think the new Buick flagship vehicle could look similar to the Opel Monza concept out of Frankfurt, Germany. Although a bit different in concept with its rounded rear and gull wing doors, the concept is still a view of what we could be seeing in the future.
A vehicle like this is definitely a possibility especially with Buick, Opel, and Vauxhall looking to share more products going forward. While we don’t yet offer the 2015 model, we still have a great selection of luxury Buick and Cadillac vehicles. Stop into Arnie Bauer and take one for a test drive today!
