Great Time to Shop
Auto sales were hot last month with the best monthly sales total since August 2007. This is good news as automakers, including the Detroit Three, sold about 1.45 million vehicles in March, a 22 percent growth from February, and a 3 percent uptick from March 2012 – the strongest month of last year, according to Michael Wayland of mlive.com.
The continued outlook for the auto industry is good according to some analysts who think the sales success of last month can continue this April. Senior editor at Edmunds.com,
Jessica Caldwell said that over the last decade March has averaged to be the second strongest month of vehicle sales, only trailing May. It seems that what is driving consumers into the dealerships is new products, pent-up demand, low interest rates, cheap credit and leasing options. This is good news for the auto industry and for consumers. There are many great options available on GM vehicles.
