New Survey Reveals Most Drivers Prefer to Service Their Cars at Dealerships

According to a new survey, an overwhelming amount of drivers feel most at home at their local dealership’s service center.

A study commissioned by the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) found that 67% of consumers think franchised dealers are the safest place to service their vehicles. The respondents said that dependability and reliability were the primary factors that contributed to their decision. Only 22% of the drivers surveyed said that they felt independent repairers are the safest, and a scant 11% said they believed national chains were the safest option. Respondents also reported that they felt more comfortable knowing that the dealership is directly linked to a manufacturer.
