The Cadillac XT5 Is a Hit at the LA Auto Show
We love the auto shows here at Arnie Bauer and it’s time once again for the Los Angeles auto show. That means it’s also another chance for the world to see what new tweaks will be featured in its new Cadillac lineup for the coming model year.
The auto show in LA kicks off the last week of November at the Los Angeles Convention Center and this year Cadillac will be showing off the new Cadillac XT5. This should get West Coast car buyers excited about the midsize luxury SUV category. They should just be excited about not having to shovel a foot of snow in November, but that’s just our Midwestern opinion.
While the XT5 will surely turns some heads, the Fiat 124 Spider convertible that was on hand to wow the crowds may try to steal the show. Not so fast Spider, you may be flashy, but this is about XT5. It’s been a long time since this model got a refresh with the XT5 taking the baton which was passed from the SRX. The name XT5 for the 2017 model stands for Crossover Touring 5 and it’s the same size as it predecessor but is lighter weight even with an increase in cabin space.
The 2017 model will also be the recipient of the CUE infotainment system which can be used with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It’s also among the first Caddies to feature the Rear Camera Mirror system. Other features in driver assistance include adaptive cruise control and automated parking. The new generation of GM’s 3.6 liter direct injected V6 makes the XT5 capable of delivering 310 horsepower. And eight speed automatic transmission offers idle-stop and and cylinder deactivation. Pricing is not know and we can only hope that the new XT5 is available in the early spring of 2016.
We can’t wait until we get our hands on the new XT5 here at Arnie Bauer and we know you can’t wait to get behind the wheel of one. Until that time comes, we will have plenty of great GMC, Cadillac and Buicks for you to choose from. Come visit us and talk to one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales staff today.
